La Roche-Posay Serozinc Review is Here!

I came by this via the wonderful Expat Makeup Addict blog who in turn lead me onto Skin Care Goddess and all round witty lady Caroline Hirons. Caroline mentioned Serozinc on her blog way back in January and it is only last week that I trooped around the corner (such a distance!) to my nearest pharmacie to get my grubby little hands on a tin. It's a beautiful thing even to look at, the bright blue and it's clean white lines. I approve already!

French Pharmacie Haul Part 2, Including La Roche-Posay Serozinc

I had a little time to kill pre-French class today so headed into one of the many pharmacies local to me, honestly the stereotype is true - there are at least two pharmacies on every darn street. These wonderful caverns of beauty goodies make me truly happy and I spent at least an hour in one of my favourites today. I came away with a really nice haul and unusually for me I came away with plenty of unresearched products, perhaps I should have learnt my lesson after my unresearched Phyto Haul, Here, but who cares - Take a look at these beauties.

Tuesday's French lessons descending into a full blown discussion on all things "Maquillage" - one area where my French vocabulary is particularly strong. Turns out my French teacher adores the make up as much as I. We discussed (at length) MAC foundations and brushes, an Italian brand called Kiko that I am looking forward to trying, Make Up Forever and a great deal about Sephora. She also happened to mention a brand of nail polish sold in Galleries Lafayette called Sinful Colors, which are without formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. So The very next day I swung by Galleries and had a look. They do an exclusive range for Galleries Lafayette (They are an American company) and it's pretty massive! I picked up a special edition 3 pack called Les "must" du moment - usually €14.90 but was half price in the sale so even better value! The colours included are Jaune Pastel, Poudre and a neon yet pastel pink simply called 920.

Budget French Pharmacie Finds!

So, What could be better than moving to a new country and starting to discover wonders in the Pharcmacies that adorn every street here? This weekend I realised I was running out of a few essentials, plus there were a few little gaps in skin care regime that could be filled by another little tube or bottle of goodness. So I embarked on a multi-lingual Google binge into French skin care. I find that for any country you visit a swift Google reveals the make up and skin care deals, steals and simply can't live with out's but can't buy at home products. Plus France's reputation proceeds itself in terms of skin care.

Previously I hadn't really considered Pharmacies as little treasure troves, but if you look into French skin care it is apparent in less than 2 seconds that Pharmacies are absolute gems. Today I picked up three products that nearly every beauty editor, model and make up artist class as must haves.
