Today I reached into the deep recesses of my make up draw and dug out some long lost friends. If you are anything like myself you will have at least two rainbows worth of eyeshadow colours but have a handful of absolute favourites, leaving some truly lovely products hiding in the darkness. Here are the pretties I used:

A completely "Wow" dress to inspire a summer make up!
Just take a look at this wedding dress that a florist has created! It's like a Flower Fairy bought to life, completely inspiring, in and English Rose Garden kinda way.

I am so into Greens on the eyes pinks for the rest of the face in summer, one colour I never try is lavender or violet, I think I have childhood memories of those cheap frosty purple eyeshadows everyone used to love - shudder.

DIY Olive Oil, Honey and Lemon Beauty Mask, Plus it's the basis of a scrub, cleanser, toner, cough medecine and pore refiner!
Currently I am loving beauty products that are as natural as possible. And my current holy trinity is Honey, Lemon Juice and Olive Oil. Hot Damn this stuff is good, inexpensive and more versatile than you can imagine. Go raid your kitchen cupboards right now.
Cleanser

Okay, lets start with the basics. I use (high quality) extra virgin olive oil straight on a cotton wool pad as an extra moisturising make up remover and cleanser. It easily lifts my make up off and if you have your cotton pad saturated enough (certainly not dripping though) It drags very little, maybe a little more than my new French discovery - Bioderma Crealine H20 Cleansing Solution - but the pay off (besides being in almost everyone's cupboard) is that you perhaps use less swipes with olive oil waterproof mascara, both remove it effectively, but I feel that olive oil is quicker.

Budget French Pharmacie Finds!
So, What could be better than moving to a new country and starting to discover wonders in the Pharcmacies that adorn every street here? This weekend I realised I was running out of a few essentials, plus there were a few little gaps in skin care regime that could be filled by another little tube or bottle of goodness. So I embarked on a multi-lingual Google binge into French skin care. I find that for any country you visit a swift Google reveals the make up and skin care deals, steals and simply can't live with out's but can't buy at home products. Plus France's reputation proceeds itself in terms of skin care.
Previously I hadn't really considered Pharmacies as little treasure troves, but if you look into French skin care it is apparent in less than 2 seconds that Pharmacies are absolute gems. Today I picked up three products that nearly every beauty editor, model and make up artist class as must haves.

Welcome!
Well Hello.
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow, at least this is the plan.
After up-rooting from London,UK in September 2012 I am currently laying down the foundations for my business and new life here in the south of France. Nice to be precise, with most of my work being in the ever glamorous state of Monaco. It's hard going, until I moved here I had never had a French lesson and knew no one that lives in this part of the world but things are coming together. Work wise it is a very different ball game, goodbye music industry and being booked up for Face Painting gigs months in advance! Farewell to my close knit, ever supportive and seemingly endless network of painters across London. Hello Sun, Sea and a country that hasn't particularly warmed to Face and Body Art and certainly doesn't make it an easy profession!
Well, here I am at the almost beginning, My international website is finally live so please do take a look - Fabulous Faces By Jemma Scott and if you ever have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me using this email -Here!
Oh and this was the view from one of my jobs last week ... Face painting in beautiful Beaulieu Sur Mer.
